Adulting is exhausting.
It seems like all I’ve been doing lately is filling out forms and signing things.
But I’m supposed to keep that all under wraps for a few more days, so I can’t exactly tell you why I’ve been filling out paperwork like it’s my job. Hey, I don’t make the rules for when I can tell you people things. It’s the cats who run the show.
I am officially Pinterest Perfect.
Well, not quite. But this whole “funemployment” thing means I have a lot of free time. Which is why I can now browse the Internet and Pinterest for recipe ideas, compile meal plans, and spend quality time at the grocery store.
I would say I’m becoming quite the professional stay-at-home cat mom.
There’s a kitten sitting on my head.
I’m not sure exactly why I thought we should adopt a kitten on our first official Saturday as Boise residents, but it seemed like a grand plan for like 20 minutes.
I blame the dresser.
Six days until we drive out of of the 202. Or should we say one week?
Whatever it may be, we’re leaving DC soon.
I feel like our house should be more chaotic than it is right now. Because there are only a few packing supplies scattered around and a couple of boxes stacked, I’m beginning to think I haven’t been accomplishing as much as I should.
It has begun.
Today was my last day as a full-time employee. That is, until I get another job in Boise.
I said goodbye to my colleagues (though I’ll still be freelancing), and to Leesburg, VA, my second home for the past year. While I won’t miss the hour long commute, I will miss this adorable town.
How do I feel about all of this?
It has been one heck of a week.
Brad and I have spent about 12 hours together in the past 5 days, with me spending last weekend in Phoenix and him in Boise this week. A couple of those hours consisted of building a dam out of towels in our apartment. We were about to leave for the airport when it sounded as if the shower had turned itself on. Brad rushed into the bathroom and exclaimed that water was pouring from the ceiling.
I mentioned in my last post that Brad & I have a “DC Bucket List” to accomplish before we move. We marked number 15 on the list this weekend with a quick trip to Annapolis.
